Myanmar, key partner and ally of Russia in the Asia-Pacific region: Friendship and cooperation between the two nations will be further strengthened and enhanced through an official visit of Senior General Min Aung Hlaing (5 March 2025)
On arrival at the house, the Senior General was welcomed by the Russian Federation Prime Minister. They had documentary photos taken, and the meeting took place there.
At the meeting, the Russian Federation Prime Minister extended greetings, saying that they are deeply honoured and delighted by the friendly visit of the Senior General to their country. Myanmar is a key partner and ally of Russia in the Asia-Pacific region. Through this visit, they believe that the friendship and cooperation between the two nations will be further strengthened and enhanced.
In his response, the Senior General said that he was delighted to meet the Russian Federation Prime Minister. The diplomatic relations between the two countries have turned 77 years, and friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries are improving. The Senior General expressed his thanks to them for warmly welcoming the Myanmar delegation and himself.
They exchanged views on promotion of bilateral relations and cooperation, promotion of cooperation in trade, industry, manufacturing, agriculture and investment sectors, cooperation in aerospace and satellite technology, development of tourism industry between the two countries, invitation to Russian businesspersons to invest in Myanmar, signing the memorandum of understanding between the two countries, and exchange of visit between high-ranking officials of the governments from both countries.
