Myanmar Delegation led by Ambassador Hmway Hmway Khyne participated in the 33rd Session of ICCROM General Assembly
The Myanmar Delegation led by Permanent Representative to the Rome-based UN Agencies and International Organizations Ambassador Hmway Hmway Khyne participated in the 33rd Session of International Center for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) General Assembly, which was convened on 2-3 November 2023 at the FAO Headquarters.
During the two-day assembly, the delegations of ICCROM Member States assess and review the progress made, set priorities, and discussed how to address most pressing issues and strengthen the works of conservation and protection of cultural heritage worldwide. At the assembly, the activities including the appointment of new Director General of ICCROM, the election of candidatures for the 14 vacant seats of the Council for the next four years, and the approval of ICCROM’s programme of activities and budget for the next two years (2024-2025) were conducted.
