Ambassador Hmway Hmway Khyne joins ASEAN Briefing Session at Tor Vergata University of Rome

As part of the Festival Della Diplomazia 2025, an ASEAN Briefing Session was held on 17 October 2025 at Tor Vergata University of Rome, featuring ambassadors and representatives from ASEAN member states. H.E. Hmway Hmway Khyne, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Italy, delivered a presentation on the ASEAN Economic Pillar, highlighting regional economic integration and cooperation initiatives within the ASEAN Community.
Other ASEAN ambassadors and representatives presented an overview of ASEAN, the ASEAN Chairmanship 2025, and the Political-Security and Socio-Cultural pillars. The session underscored the importance of understanding ASEAN’s role in promoting peace, prosperity, and sustainable development, and collaboration in fostering mutual growth and partnership between Southeast Asia and Italy.
