Myanmar delegation led by U Lwin Oo, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs attends the 7th Myanmar-China (Yunnan) Cooperation Forum (12 December 2024, Kunming)

The Myanmar delegation composed of senior officials from 12 Ministries concerned and delegates from the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) led by U Lwin Oo, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar attended the 7th Myanmar-China (Yunnan) Cooperation Forum and related events held on 10 December 2024 at the Wyndham Grand Plaza Hotel in Kunming city of Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China.
While in Kunming, Deputy Minister had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Hu Dapeng, Vice Governor of Yunnan Province, and attended the Plenary Session of the Myanmar-China (Yunnan) Cooperation Forum and delivered a remark. In his remarks, Deputy Minister emphasized on enhancement of existing Paukphaw relations between Myanmar and China and the promotion of mutually beneficial cooperation between Myanmar and Yunnan Province under the Mechanism of Yunnan Forum.
The representatives from Ministry of Planning and Finance and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and representatives from Foreign Affairs Office of the Yunnan Provincial People’s Government and Yunnan Provincial Public Security Department of the People’s Republic of China led the discussions related to comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation between Myanmar and China, to further consolidation of existing cooperation in agriculture, transport, electricity, trade and investment, environmental conservation and tourism sectors, promotion of people-to-people exchanges through the establishment of sister cities.
