ပုပ်ရဟန်းမင်းကြီး Leo XIV ၏ ကမ္ဘာ့စားနပ်ရိက္ခာအစီအစဉ် အသိုက်အဝန်းသို့ အထူး မိန့်ခွန်းပြောကြားခြင်း အခမ်းအနားကို ၂၂-၆-၂၀၂၆ ရက်တွင် အီတလီနိုင်ငံ၊ ရောမမြို့အခြေစိုက် WFP ဌာနချုပ်၌ ကျင်းပခဲ့ရာ မြန်မာသံရုံး၊ ရောမမြို့မှ သံရုံးယာယီတာဝန်ခံ ဦးစိုးသက်နောင် ဦးဆောင်သည့် မြန်မာကိုယ်စားလှယ်အဖွဲ့ တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ပါသည်။
အခမ်းအနားတွင် ပုပ်ရဟန်းမင်းကြီးက စားနပ်ရိက္ခာလုံလောက်စွာ ရရှိရေးသည် လူသား တိုင်းအတွက် အခြေခံကျသည့် ရပိုင်ခွင့်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း၊ လူသားချင်းစာနာထောက်ထားမှု အကူအညီ များ ပေးအပ်ရာတွင် ဗျူရိုကရေစီဆိုင်ရာ တင်းကျပ်မှုများကြောင့် အပြည်ပြည်ဆိုင်ရာ ဦးစားပေးမှု များတွင် နောက်သို့တဖြည်းဖြည်း ရောက်ရှိသွားကြောင်း၊ ဆာလောင်မှုနှင့် အာဟာရမပြည့်ဝမှု တို့ကို အဓိကဖြစ်စေနိုင်သည့် အကြောင်းရင်းများကို ဖြေရှင်းနိုင်ရေးအတွက် နိုင်ငံတကာအသိုက် အဝန်းအနေဖြင့် ခိုင်မာသည့်ကတိကဝတ်ပြုမှုနှင့် အရင်းအမြစ်များကို တိုးမြှင့်ပေးရန် တိုက်တွန်း လိုပါကြောင်း၊ WFP သည် နိုင်ငံရေး၊ စီးပွားရေး သို့မဟုတ် နည်းပညာဆိုင်ရာ အဖွဲ့အစည်းတစ်ခု ထက် ကျော်လွန်သည့် အပြည်ပြည်ဆိုင်ရာ စုစည်းခိုင်မာမှုကို ပြသနေကြောင်း၊ WFP ၏ တည်ရှိမှု သည် လူသားများ၏ အရေးပေါ်အခြေအနေဆိုင်ရာ အကျပ်အတည်းများကို ပြန်လည်ပြင်ဆင်၍ မရနိုင်အောင် ထိခိုက်ပျက်စီးဆုံးရှုံးခြင်းများမှ ကာကွယ်ပေးနိုင်ကြောင်းဖြင့် ၎င်း၏မိန့်ခွန်းတွင် ထည့်သွင်းပြောကြားခဲ့ပါသည်။
ပုပ်ရဟန်းမင်းကြီးသည် WFP ဌာနချုပ်သို့ ရောက်ရှိစဉ် ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေးနိုဘယ်ဆုတံဆိပ် တပ်ဆင်ထားမှုအား သွားရောက်ကြည့်ရှုခြင်း၊ အောက်မေ့ဖွယ်နံရံသို့ သွားရောက်၍ ဆုတောင်းကာ ငြိမ်သက်ဂုဏ်ပြုပေးခြင်း၊ တာဝန်ထမ်းဆောင်ရာဒေသအသီးသီးမှ WFPဝန်ထမ်းများအား အွန်လိုင်း မှတစ်ဆင့် မိန့်ခွန်းပြောကြားခြင်းနှင့် အများပြည်သူနှင့် WFP ဝန်ထမ်းများအား ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေးပန်းခြံ တွင်တွေ့ဆုံ၍ မိန့်ခွန်းပြောကြားခြင်းများ ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။

Myanmar Embassy in Rome attends the Extraordinary High-Level Address by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV to the World Food Programme Community

Myanmar representatives led by U Soe Thet Naung, Chargé d’ Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Rome, attended the Extraordinary High-Level Address by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV to the World Food Programme (WFP) Community held at the headquarter of WFP in Rome, on 22 June 2026.
During the ceremony, Pope Leo XIV stated the access to adequate food as a fundamental human right, mentioned about bureaucratic roadblocks relegated the humanitarian action into secondary place among international priorities and urged the international community to strengthen commitment and resources to tackling the root causes of hunger and malnutrition. Furthermore, he emphasized that the WFP expresses the international solidarity which goes beyond political, economic or technical institutions. Additionally, he honoured the existence of WFP helps to prevent humanitarian emergency crises from deteriorating into irreversible collapse.
On his arrival at the WFP headquarter, Pope Leo XIV visited to the Nobel Prize installation, offered prayers and moment of silence at the Memorial Wall, delivered a virtual address to WFP frontline staffs and remarked in person including social interaction with the WFP personnel and public at the Peace Garden.
